Jonathan Shaheri was born and raised in Los Angeles to Iranian parents - his sound blends 1970s Persian psychedelia, funk, and cinematic Western guitars into something both nostalgic and new. As a string arranger and violinist, I prefer asking clients for their preference - I either prepare sheet music in advance or improvise/layer on the spot with the producer (the case for this recording). It was a lively day with a great atmosphere!
