Running from 11 Sep - 7 Oct 2025, Tosca is a thrilling new staging of Puccini’s Tosca for The Royal Opera, conducted by new Music Director Jakub Hrůša and directed by Oliver Mears. As a live sound assistant, I ensure quick orchestral turnovers in the pit and floats by setting up all the mics with the engineering team, prepping the mixing station and various monitors, and labelling and preparing mics for transport. As part of the broadcasting department, we usually record for BBC Radio 3 or cinema.
